What Dreams May Come

I was sitting in a bar on Love Island (Cyprus) when I first  heard the news of Robin Williams death, what struck me immediately was the manner in which he died…. ‘suicide’. My thoughts turned  to the film he starred in some years before entitled What Dreams May Come which was based around the subject.

Here is a synopsis of the plot..

While vacationing in Switzerland, pediatrician Chris Nielsen (Robin Williams) meets artist Annie Collins (Annabella Sciorra). They are attracted to each other, and bond as if they had known each other for a long time. They marry and have two children, Ian (Josh Paddock) and Marie (Jessica Brooks Grant). Their idyllic life ends when the children die in a car crash. Life becomes difficult: Annie suffers a mental breakdown and the couple contemplates divorce, but they manage through their losses.

On the anniversary of the day they decided not to divorce, Chris is killed in another car crash. Unaware that he is dead, and confused that no one will interact with him, Chris lingers on Earth. He sees Annie’s attempts to cope with his loss and attempts to communicate with her, despite advice from a presence that this will only cause her more pain. When his attempts cause more sorrow, he decides to move on.

Chris awakens in Heaven, and learns that his immediate surroundings can be controlled by his imagination. He meets a man (Cuba Gooding, Jr.) he recognises as Albert, his friend and mentor from his medical residency, and the presence from his time as a “ghost” on Earth. Albert will guide and help in this new afterlife.

Albert teaches Chris about his existence in Heaven, and how to shape his little corner, and to travel to others’ “dreams”. They are surprised when a Blue Jacaranda tree appears unbidden in Chris’ surroundings, matching a tree in a new painting by Annie, inspired by Annie’s belief that she can communicate with Chris in the afterlife.

Albert explains that this is a sign that the couple are truly soul mates. Annie decides that Chris cannot “see” the painting, however, and destroys it. At the same time, Chris sees his version of the tree disintegrate before his eyes.

Chris laments that he can no longer see his wife and soon encounters a woman who he comes to recognise as his daughter Marie, living in an area resembling a diorama that she loved in her lifetime. The two share a tearful reunion.

Meanwhile, Annie is unable to cope with the loss of her husband and decides to commit suicide. Chris, who is initially relieved that her suffering is done, grows angry when he learns that those who commit suicide go to Hell; this is not the result of a judgment made against them, but rather their own tendency to create “nightmare” afterlife worlds based on their pain.

Chris is adamant that he will rescue Annie from Hell, despite Albert’s insistence that no one has ever succeeded in doing so with a suicide. Albert agrees to find Chris a “tracker” to help search for Annie’s soul.

Chris must walk across the field of Faces of the Damned, stepping on their faces as he navigates across it. Chris and the tracker arrive at a dark and twisted version of Chris and Annie’s house. The soul tracker then  warns Chris that if he stays with Annie for more than a few minutes he may be permanently trapped in Hell, advising that all Chris can reasonably expect is an opportunity for a final farewell to Annie.

Chris enters their now-horrific looking home to find Annie suffering from amnesia, unable to remember her suicide, and visibly tortured by her decrepit surroundings. Unable to stir her memories, the tracker sees Chris give up his quest to save Annie from hell. But instead of returning to Heaven, Chris chooses to join Annie forever in Hell.

As he declares to Annie his intent to stay, his words parallel something he’d said to her as he left her in an institution following the children’s deaths, and she regains her memories while Chris is making her nightmare his.

Annie, wanting nothing more than to save Chris, ascends to Heaven, bringing Chris with her.

Chris and Annie are reunited with their children in Heaven, and all appearances are restored.

Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, it is not boastful, it is not proud. It is not arrogant or rude, it is not selfish or self-seeking. It does not insist on it’s own way, it is not easily angered, it is not irritable or resentful, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

It is Chris’s self sacrifice and his refusal to leave Annie that was the game changer that and his words repeated over again which woke her up and brought back her memories and restored her to her former self enabling her to free herself from her self imposed prison. Changing her back to her original state to her original home back to the Garden back to Paradise.

Christ like Chris came into this world to help SET the captives free….  to lead them out of their fallen state and to restore them to eternal life.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me (the Messiah),
Because He has anointed Me to preach the good news to the poor.
He has sent Me to announce release (pardon, forgiveness) to the captives,
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set free those who are oppressed (downtrodden, bruised, crushed by tragedy).

This storyline was also set out in the book, ‘The Amber Spyglass’ when the heroine and the hero who were both children travelled to the underworld and did exactly that….they set the captives or prisoners free.

Christ went into hell for 3 days and 3 nights thats 33 the number that represents spiritual awakening and self sacrifice.  The Hebrew word for Hell is SHEOL or SHE OWL….representing Lilith the shapeshifter who has been hurt so much she is now just an empty heartless s hell.

Another name for Hell in Greek is Gehenna and the name Gehenna comes from a deep narrow ravine south of Jerusalem where some Hebrew parents actually sacrificed their children to the Ammonite god, Molech, during the time of the kings (II Kin. 16;3; II Chron. 28:1-3; Lev. 18:21; I Kin. 11:5,7,33).

This pagan deity is also referred to as Malcham, Milcom, and Moloch in the Bible. This valley later served as the city dump and, because there was continual burning of refuse there, it became a graphic symbol of the place of punishment for the wicked.

It was named the “Valley of Hinnom,” which translated into Greek becomes Gehenna. The passages where the word is found in the New Testament plainly show that it was a commonly used expression for Hell by that time.

So hell is described as inside the belly of the earth or whale or sea serpent and also a  deep ravine or bum crack which is used for dumping crap.

Imagination is along with love and faith one of the most powerful forces in the universe and it works in conjunction with sound by speaking the words out loud which helps to gives it substance commanding the atoms to come together and form it into something ‘real’.

For God  spoke, and it was done; the Creator commanded, and it stood fast.

We can use that same power to destroy as well as to create to tear down as well as to build.

In the film Robin Williams could create his own world by using his imagination unfortunately in this reality he swapped roles with his screen wife and became the prisoner of his own mind instead. The movie was depicting in a mirror image sort of way what was to happen to him in this dimension.

In the video above the Mind Controller states….Reality is a dangerous concept and each one of us interprets it in a slightly different way..every sense impression is filtered by the brain and altered….sometimes just a little….sometimes completely….to fit our individual model our individual view of what this world is all about…..creating an illusion of reality is quite simple….placing things in someones mind that never really happened.

As I mentioned in my last post the outer universe is only a reflection of the inner one and one that is controlled by the brain.

The Brains Greatest Con Trick

We are only at the very beginning of discovering an ancient secret that the creative power of God lies dormant within us and it is a power without limit or boundary. The next step is to find the key which unlocks the door but we must be careful as with great power comes great responsibility (nuff said).

However we must ensure that the dark side of the mind does not seize control of the imagination and imprison us once more…fear and guilt and finally death are just some the enemies we must overcome.

Dream On

But first the storm has to come to jolt our memory with a few volts so that we can remember what we had and what we lost ….

Sounds crazy I know but Our Dreams can all come true and we can all awaken from our deep sleep and achieve a happy ending.

God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more, neither shall there be anguish (sorrow and mourning) nor grief nor pain any more, for the old conditions and the former order of things have passed away…..as a dream….
